27-Year-Old Chase Newton Killed in Pedestrian Accident in Eagle Rock
Eagle Rock, CA (July 20, 2022) – Chase Newton (27) was identified as the fatality in a pedestrian accident on Ventura Freeway in Eagle Rock. According to My News LA, the accident was reported around 11:38 pm on Sunday.

The California Highway Patrol responded to a report of a fatal crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Ventura Freeway in Eagle Rock.
Authorities found a Hyundai Veloster and a pedestrian when they arrived. The pedestrian was then pronounced dead at the scene. He was later identified as Chase Newton.
According to reports, the motorist mistakenly thought they hit a large animal when they struck Newton.
The California Highway Patrol shut down all eastbound freeway lanes.
