The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a 10 Freeway single-vehicle crash involving a Tesla and two injured victims in an encampment near the National Boulevard exit in the Cheviot Hills area.
The crash left at least five injured individuals, including two victims living in the homeless encampment.
Eyewitnesses reported that the Tesla veered off the freeway and plummeted down an embankment before colliding with a homeless encampment where at least two individuals were sleeping.
The two victims residing at the encampment reportedly fled the scene before receiving medical attention from paramedics.
Moreover, details about the number of occupants inside the Tesla remain unclear.
However, the Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed that they extricated three women from the vehicle and brought them to the hospital in critical condition, while a fourth woman sustained minor injuries.
Furthermore, a Tesla passenger mentioned to FOX 11 that the driver was sober and that they were en route to a friend’s house.
