San Diego, CA (July 26, 2023) –A 28-year-old driver sustained significant injuries after crashing into a guardrail in an I-15 single-vehicle crash in San Diego. According to The San Diego Tribune, the accident happened about 3:00 a.m. on Wednesday.

The California Highway Patrol responded to an I-15 single-vehicle crash leading to a car fire on Interstate 15 near Miramar.
According to CHP Officer Jesse Matias, a Toyota sedan driven by the 28-year-old man, headed south, just north of state Route 52, when it suddenly veered to the right, went off the roadway, and collided with a guardrail, causing the car to burst into flames.
As the car was engulfed in flames, the driver managed to extricate himself from the wreckage.
Moreover, a Good Samaritan, identified as a FedEx driver, rushed to the scene and assisted the injured man in moving away from the burning vehicle.
Paramedics promptly arrived at the scene and transported the injured man to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Fortunately, his injuries were not life-threatening.
