Gardena, CA (September 26, 2022) – A Gardena hit-and-run accident injured a Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy. According to ABC 7, the crash happened at around 4:50 am on Sunday.
An LASD deputy sustained injuries after getting into a Gardena hit-and-run accident at the Van Ness and Marine avenue intersection.

Responders arrived at the scene and transported the deputy to the hospital for various injuries. According to LASD’s Sgt. Nikos Guskos, the deputy suffered back and neck problems but remained conscious after the crash.
The hit-and-run driver’s vehicle sustained damage from the collision, allowing easy identification. The impact also damaged the LASD patrol vehicle’s front driver’s-side fender.
