Walnut, CA (December 1, 2022) – Ralph Barragan (63), a tram driver for disabled students, was identified as the fatality in a pedestrian crash on a campus parking lot in Walnut. According to KTLA, the crash occurred around 7:30 am.

Paramedics found a male pedestrian unresponsive at the scene, he was then pronounced dead. They later identified the victim as Ralph Barragan, a tram driver for disabled students at Mt. San Antonio College.
The driver, only described as a man in his 30s, reportedly struck the victim on a walkway near the staff parking lot. He was later found at a bus stop a few feet away from his vehicle. Responders also took the driver to a local hospital for undisclosed injuries.
However, authorities have determined through their investigation that the collision might have been intentional and targeted.
