Costa Mesa, CA (December 1, 2022) – A motorcycle rider was critically injured in a Placentia Avenue collision in Costa Mesa. According to the Los Angeles Times, the collision occurred around 4:00 pm on Wednesday.

A traffic collision involving a motorcyclist and a vehicle occurred on the 2000 block of Placentia Avenue in Costa Mesa.
The Costa Mesa Fire Battalion crew responded to the collision and assisted the rider. He reportedly sustained critical injuries and was then taken to Orange County Global Medical Center.
According to Costa Mesa police spokesman Roxi Fyad, the collision occurred when a motorcycle rider crashed with another vehicle trying to make a left-hand turn near an auto service and repair shop.
The driver of the other vehicle did not report any serious injuries.
Authorities confirmed that drugs or alcohol did not play a role in the collision.
This incident is currently handled by Costa Mesa Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team.
