Delano, CA (August 10, 2022) – Ray Segura (33) and Fancy Renee Castro (30) of Bakersfield were identified as the fatalities in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 155 at Melcher Road in Delano. According to Bakersfield Now, the crash happened around 2:00 am on Saturday.

The California Highway Patrol reported a fatal crash involving two vehicles on Highway 155 at Melcher Road in Delano.
Two victims suffered fatal injuries. Both of them were taken to Kern Medical, where they later succumbed to their injuries. Authorities identified the victims as Bakersfield residents; Ray Segura and Fancy Renee Castro.
According to reports, a driver, only identified as a 17-year-old male, ran a stop sign and struck Segura and Castro’s vehicle. Both cars then landed on a dirt field.
The 17-year-old driver was reportedly injured. His two passengers also sustained major to moderate injuries.
This incident remains under investigation.
