Los Angeles, CA (August 6, 2023) – A South Los Angeles vehicle fire left fatal burn injuries to an unhoused man. According to ABC7, the vehicle fire occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Emergency responders and firefighters discovered the victim inside the burning vehicle after they put out the flames at 102nd Street and Avalon Boulevard.
They then rushed him to a hospital, where he was initially listed in grave condition. Unfortunately, he later succumbed to his injuries in the afternoon.
According to police, the victim was sleeping in his car when someone poured flammable liquid either in or on the car and set it on fire.
