Shasta County, CA (June 7, 2023) – A crash on Anderson in Shasta County left one victim dead. According to TND, authorities responded to the scene around 9:30 a.m. on Monday.
A woman was fatally injured in an Anderson crash in Shasta County.
The Anderson Police Department reported a fatal crash involving a speeding truck and another vehicle on Anderson.
According to reports, the driver of the truck, 31-year-old Andrew Millner of Redding, was involved in a road rage incident with a motorcyclist in the area of Highway 273, which caused the crash.
Authorities mentioned that Millner and the motorcyclist went up to 100 MPH and failed to adhere to multiple lights.
During the road rage incident, both drivers headed for a red light. While the motorcyclist stopped, Millner ran over the red light and crashed into another vehicle.
Responders then took the car driver to the hospital. However, she was later pronounced dead.
Her identity is yet to be released by the authorities.
Moreover, police determined that Millner, who had a DUI arrest in the past, was under the influence of drugs when the accident happened, as confirmed by a drug recognition expert.
He was then arrested on several charges, including murder and DUI, causing bodily injury or death. He is currently taken into Shasta County Jail.
J&M Tip: Road rage is a dangerous and aggressive behavior, often resulting from frustration or anger on the road. If you are hit by a vehicle involved in road rage, you may file a claim against the driver. Police reports, CCTV footage, and witness testimonies can justify the driver’s road rage, which caused the accident.

More About Car Accident Liability
Various circumstances of the car accident can pinpoint the liability of damages. In some instances, thorough investigations can reveal careless behavior. This can include the simple act of recklessly turning or cutting in front of another vehicle. In terms of determining who is at fault for an accident, this can be defined by common law. Any Sacramento or Los Angeles car accident lawyer recognizes that fault has four basic levels:
- Negligence
- Recklessness (wanton conduct)
- Intentional misconduct
- Strict liability
However, different state laws can have variations of applicable traffic laws. For example, in some states, multiple drivers can be liable for an accident. This is why thorough investigations are important after a car accident. Having a strong case showing the liability of the at-fault party can help guarantee your compensation. Likewise, a car crash attorney can also help you determine all your options, so you can fully recover from the accident. Learn more about car accident lawyers in California here.
