Highway 33 Crash Fatally Injured 13-Year-Old Skateboarder in Bakersfield
Bakersfield, CA (January 16, 2023) – A 13-year-old skateboarder named Dylan Jon Dominguez of Fellows was identified as the fatality in a crash on Highway 33. According to KGET, the crash was reported around 5:30 pm on Sunday.
A 13-year-old skateboarder was fatally struck by a pickup truck on Highway 33 in Bakersfield.
The California Highway Patrol reported a fatal crash involving a pickup truck and a skateboarder in the southbound lane of Arnold Avenue on Highway 33.
The victim reportedly died at the scene. The Kern County coroner’s office later identified the victim as a 13-year-old skateboarder named Dylan Jon Dominguez.
According to authorities, the pickup truck was going at about 50 mph when it struck the skateboarder. They also reported that it was dark and raining during the accident.
Drugs and alcohol did not appear to be factors in the crash.
