A 17-year-old recent high school graduate died at the scene after a Sanger solo accident.
Authorities officially identified the teenager tragically killed in a Sanger solo accident on Saturday.
The Fresno County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the victim as 17-year-old Uriel Velasquez of Sanger.
According to authorities, the crash occurred when Velasquez, driving on the eastbound lanes of Highway 180, veered off the roadway and collided at full speed with a light pole.
The impact of the crash caused him to be ejected from the vehicle.
Moreover, reports from investigators revealed that Velasquez was the sole occupant of the 2015 Toyota Camry.
Law enforcement officials indicate that no evidence suggested that Velasquez attempted to correct his direction or apply the brakes before the pole collision occurred.
Velasquez, a high school goalkeeper and a recent high school graduate, was a significant piece of the team, as described by his coach, Alex Gutierrez.
“I’ve been coaching now for almost 20 years, and any time there’s anything like this, I think I’m always nervous or afraid or just worried that it could be somebody, one of mine, one of my boys, one of the boys that we’ve coached, I’ve coached,” Gutierrez mentioned. “Still very shocked. I’m just in this belief at this point.”
Gutierrez stated that Velasquez had been part of the team since his sophomore year and had graduated in June.
Velasquez contributed to Sanger’s presence in the Central Section Division I championship during his junior year. Gutierrez characterized Velasquez as “very calm and composed in pressure” and “really had the heart of a tiger, the heart of a lion out in the field.”
Furthermore, his family and friends set up a GoFundMe page to help with his funeral and burial expenses.

Any Sacramento or Los Angeles car accident lawyer recognizes that fault has four basic levels:
