55 Freeway Motorcycle Crash Left Alondra Cobian Fatal in Costa Mesa
Costa Mesa, CA (August 15, 2023) – Alondra Cobian (24) succumbed to fatal injuries in a 55 Freeway motorcycle crash in Costa Mesa. According to the LA Times, the accident occurred around 2:19 p.m. on Saturday.
55 Freeway motorcycle crash left a motorcyclist fatal after colliding with two cars in Costa Mesa.
The California Highway Patrol reported a fatal 55 Freeway motorcycle crash when it collided with a tan Toyota Camry and a white Ford Ranger driving northbound in Costa Mesa.
The CHP Santa Ana station received a notification from the Orange County Communications Center about a crash on a portion of the freeway under the I-405 northbound HOV flyover.
Subsequently, an ambulance was dispatched to the scene.
The motorcyclist was identified as 24-year-old Alondra Cobian from Anaheim.
Investigators believe Alondra Cobian was riding between two lanes when she collided with the two cars.
Emergency response units from the Orange County Fire Authority and Costa Mesa Fire & Rescue arrived at the scene.
Unfortunately, Alondra Cobian died at the scene.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. However, speed appeared to play a role in the incident.
