Murrieta, CA (August 23, 2023) – Alvaro Parra Rodriguez (25) of Ramona died at the scene of a Murrieta I-15 DUI accident. According to Patch, police received reports about the crash around 12:28 p.m. on Saturday.

The authorities revealed the victim’s identity as Alvaro Parra Rodriguez, 25, of Ramona.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal solo-vehicle collision occurred at 12:28 p.m. on Saturday, just north of California Oaks Road.
The driver of the vehicle, 23-year-old Agustin Martinez, made an “unsafe turning movement” at a speed of approximately 70-75 miles per hour, causing the sedan to lose control. The Honda then veered off the freeway and collided with a dirt embankment.
Due to the impact, Parra Rodriguez was thrown into the backseat of the car and succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene.
Rodriguez was a front passenger of a 2006 Honda Civic and did not wear a seatbelt during the crash.
Meanwhile, Martinez sustained moderate injuries, and paramedics transported him to Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital in Wildomar.
Moreover, CHP reported that Martinez was under the influence of drugs at the time of the incident, although he was wearing a seatbelt.
Furthermore, the CHP Temecula Area office continues investigating the crash, emphasizing the importance of wearing seatbelts for safety: “The CHP wants to remind the motoring public to always wear your seatbelts. Seat belts can save lives and prevent injuries,” the agency stated.
