Chung Thu Le Suffered Suffered Severe Injuries and Died in a Walnut Creek Hit-and-Run Crash
Walnut Creek, CA (October 1, 2022) – A Walnut Creek hit-and-run accident critically injured and killed Chung Thu Le, who was crossing North California Boulevard. According to KRON 4, the crash happened at around 7:00 PM on Saturday.
Chung Thu Le suffered life-threatening injuries and later died in a hospital after a Walnut Creek hit-and-run accident at North California Boulevard and Civic Drive in Contra Costa County.
According to the Walnut Creek Police Department (WCPD), Le attempted to cross North California Boulevard near Civic Drive when a vehicle hit her.
The hit-and-run driver fled before police arrived at the scene. They immediately transported Le to a hospital via ambulance, but she died later on.
Police are currently looking for the hit-and-run driver. They received calls about the incident, and reports described the vehicle as a tan or gold four-door sedan.
They also noted that this crash happened four blocks from a Walnut Creek BART station. Authorities closed roads to make way for investigations. They were able to end road closures at around 10:15 PM.
