47 Year-Old Man Killed, Two Others Injured in a Corcoran Car Crash
Corcoran, CA (August 18, 2023) – A 47-year-old man succumbed to fatal injuries, while two individuals sustained injuries after a Corcoran car crash in Visalia. According to Your Central Valley, the crash was reported around 12:40 am on Saturday.
A 47-year-old man from Tipton died, and two others sustained injuries after a Corcoran car crash.
The California Highway Patrol reported a Corcoran car crash involving a 2007 Nissan Sentra and an International Transtar.
According to the authorities, the driver of the Nissan Sentra was heading southbound on Highway 43, approaching Avenue 120, traveling at around 50 mph.
Simultaneously, the driver of the International Transtar was traveling northbound on Highway 43, nearing Avenue 120, at a speed of approximately 55 mph.
The intention of the Nissan Sentra driver was to make an eastbound turn onto Avenue 120 from Highway 43. Accordingly, the driver reduced speed and initiated a left turn.
In an effort to avoid a collision, the International Transtar driver applied the brakes and steered left as the Nissan Sentra turned.
Due to the close proximity between the vehicles, the crash became inevitable, resulting in the front of the International Transtar hitting the right side of the Nissan Sentra.
As both vehicles veered off the roadway in a northeasterly direction, the front of the International Transtar struck a dirt berm.
Following the crash, both vehicles came to a stop within the east shoulder of Highway 43, north of Avenue 120.
Two men in the Nissan were taken to a local hospital. Unfortunately, a third man died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the International Transtar did not sustain any injuries.
