Grover Beach Traffic Collision Involving Fire Truck Killed Arroyo Grande Resident Dylan Tyler Smith
Grover Beach, CA (August 1, 2022) – Dylan Tyler Smith (29) of Arroyo Grande was identified as the fatality in a traffic collision involving a fire truck in Grover Beach. According to KSBY, the collision occurred around 10:20 pm on Wednesday.

The California Highway Patrol reported a fatal traffic collision involving a fire truck and a bicyclist at the intersection of Trouville Avenue and 13th Street in Grover Beach.
The bicyclist sustained major injuries following the collision. He was then transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Authorities identified the victim as Dylan Tyler Smith of Arroyo Grande.
According to reports, Smith was riding an electric bicycle when crossed in front of an oncoming fire truck. Then, he got thrown off his bicycle.
Meanwhile, Five Cities Fire Authority Fire Chief Steve Lieberman said that the three fire crew members involved in the accident were placed off-duty the morning after the collision.
This crash remains under investigation.
