67-Year-Old Elfego Andrade Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Fullerton
Fullerton, CA (August 18, 2022) – Elfego Andrade (67) was identified by his family as the victim in the fatal hit-and-run crash near the intersection of Chapman Avenue and Ladera Vista Drive in Fullerton. According to KTLA, the crash was reported around 5:00 am on Thursday.
Elfego Andrade was riding his bicycle to work when a truck hit him and fled the scene. Authorities are now looking for the hit-and-run driver.
The Fullerton Police Department responded to reports of a fatal hit-and-run crash near the intersection of Chapman Avenue and Ladera Vista Drive in Fullerton.
The victim was found critically injured on a brick planter. Authorities took him to a local trauma center. Unfortunately, he was later pronounced dead.
Family members were able to identify the victim as Elfego Andrade.
According to reports, Andrade was riding his bicycle to work when a truck hit him. A witness then followed the truck as it continued west on Chapman. The driver reportedly got out of his vehicle and ran on foot.
Andrade was described as a happy man with a humble heart. He was also a hardworking husband, father, grandfather, and father-in-law to his family.
