Gilroy, CA (September 26, 2023) – A 78-year-old Santa Clara man succumbed to fatal injuries after colliding with a tomato harvester in a Highway 152 crash east of Gilroy. According to CBS, the man drove in the area around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

In response, a Good Samaritan promptly stopped to provide assistance and call 911.
Unfortunately, despite the arrival of an emergency medical team, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene of this Highway 152 crash.
Additionally, a 76-year-old female passenger, also from Santa Clara, suffered serious injuries. She is currently undergoing treatment at Natividad Medical Center.
Meanwhile, the 22-year-old harvester operator from Coalinga emerged from the crash unscathed.
