Jesus Zeferino Avila Suffered Fatal Injuries in Sperry Avenue Car Crash in Patterson
Patterson, CA (July 28, 2023) – Jesus Zeferino Avila (28) of Newman suffered fatal injuries in a Sperry Avenue car crash in Patterson. According to ABC10, the crash occurred around 4:45 a.m. on June 9.
Jesus Zeferino Avila succumbed to fatal injuries in a car crash on Sperry Avenue, west of American Eagle Avenue in Patterson.
The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office reported the fatality in a deadly car crash on June 9 at the intersection of American Eagle and Sperry avenues in Patterson, which was undergoing construction, with signs indicating eastbound and westbound traffic directions.
The police identified the victim as 28-year-old Jesus Zeferino Avila of Newman.
According to the report, the BMW, driven by Avila, hit a dip in the road, causing the driver to lose control in the middle of the intersection. The vehicle then momentarily became airborne, collided with a center median, and tragically crashed into the oncoming Tesla.
Authorities also mentioned that Avila traveled at a high speed during the crash.
Unfortunately, the BMW driver succumbed to his injuries at the accident scene.
Meanwhile, the other driver, an unidentified woman, incurred minor injuries. Responders then transported her to a hospital for treatment.
Furthermore, police believe alcohol and drugs do not appear to have played a role in this Sperry Avenue crash.
