Long Beach, CA (July 12, 2023) – A pedestrian, who reportedly jumped off a building, sustained fatal injuries after a driver struck them in a Long Beach hit-and-run. According to CBS News, the crash occurred around 1:50 a.m. on Wednesday.

The Long Beach Police Department reported a hit-and-run crash near the intersection of Locust Avenue and Seaside Way, leaving a pedestrian, who jumped off a building, with life-threatening injuries.
When authorities arrived on the scene, they located the victim and declared him dead.
According to the authorities, they found an unidentified male struck by a vehicle after jumping off a building near Locust Avenue and Seaside Way.
After running over the man, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene.
The LBPD mentioned that the “preliminary investigation suggests the subject jumped off a nearby building and, shortly after, was run over by a pickup truck which fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival.”
