According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 4:35 p.m. when Prieto was driving a vehicle that collided with another car at the intersection of Driver Road and E. Lerdo Highway.
Upon the arrival of Shafter Police officers, they witnessed both vehicles engulfed in flames.
Furthermore, KCSO stated that an autopsy would be conducted to verify the cause and manner of death.
