Fresno, CA (April 19, 2023) – Oswald Capistron (24) was identified as the fatality in a scooter accident on Highway 99 in Fresno. According to Your Central Valley, the crash occurred Wednesday morning.
Oswald Capistron died at the scene after being ejected from his scooter following a Highway 99 crash in Fresno.
The California Highway Patrol reported a fatal scooter accident involving a vehicle on Highway 99 in Fresno.
One person died at the scene. The Fresno County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Oswald Capistron.
According to officers, Capistron was riding his scooter when a vehicle struck him. This caused him to be ejected from his scooter and onto the lanes of Highway 99.
He was then struck at least twice by passing traffic. The driver reportedly failed to pull him from the roadway due to the approaching traffic.
Authorities determined that drugs or alcohol were not involved in this crash.
