Naomi Petrushka and Liron Petrushka, who were Israeli tech entrepreneurs, succumbed to fatal injuries after a Truckee plane crash at Truckee Tahoe airport on Saturday, as confirmed by an Israeli media – Times of Israel.
The married couple also lived in California over the last few years.
The aircraft, identified as a Daher TBM 900, departed from Denver, Colorado, as tracked by aircraft monitoring service FlightAware.
The crash occurred at approximately 6:38 p.m. at the intersection of Glenshire Drive and Olympic Blvd., northwest of the Truckee Tahoe Airport.
Authorities emphasized that there is currently no threat to any structures, and no road closures are in effect. However, they advised of a heavy presence of emergency responders in the area for an extended period.
Moreover, Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board investigators arrived at this Truckee plane crash site on Sunday morning to commence documentation.
The NTSB stated, “The wreckage will then be recovered to a secure facility for further evaluation.” A preliminary report is anticipated within 30 days of the accident.
