Merced County, CA (June 28, 2023) – Oscar Abundio Estrada Valenica (19) of Manteca was identified as the fatality in a motorcycle accident in the area of Highway 165 and Turner Avenue in Merced County. According to Merced Sun-Star, the accident happened before 9:00 am on Saturday.

A motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The Merced County Sheriff Coroner’s Office identified the fatality as 19-year-old Oscar Abundio Estrada Valenica of Manteca.
According to authorities, Valenica’s motorcycle reportedly left the roadway as it attempted to negotiate a curve. He then laid the motorcycle down before crashing into a wooden pole.
Valenica was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
