The pedestrian, identified as an 85-year-old man, sustained life-threatening injuries; a fractured skull and a brain bleed. While the 63-year-old cyclist had a laceration above his left eye.
According to reports, the pedestrian was struck by the cyclist near the entrance of Torrey Pines State Beach.
