Pinon Hills Head-On Crash Left One Person with Fatal Injuries, Two Others Injured
Los Angeles County, CA (August 16, 2023) – One person sustained fatal injuries in a fiery Pinon Hills head-on crash. Two other people were injured. According to The Daily Press, the crash was reported around 10:40 a.m. on Monday.
A fiery Pinon Hills head-on crash between a pickup truck and a semi-truck left one person dead and two others injured.
The California Highway Patrol reported a fatal Pinon Hills head-on crash on Highway 138 in Los Angeles County.
The crash involved a pickup truck and a semi-truck, resulting in the death of one person and injuring two others. The incident took place on Pearblossom Highway, west of Pinon Hills.
According to a preliminary report, a westbound truck and an eastbound semi-truck collided, causing both vehicles to catch fire.
The driver and passenger of the semi-truck managed to exit the vehicle and were airlifted to a nearby hospital with injuries.
Unfortunately, the driver of the pickup truck sustained fatal injuries.
The sheriff’s coroner’s office has not released the identity of any of the individuals involved in the collision.
As part of the investigation, the CHP closed eastbound Highway 138 from Highway 18 to 265th Street East.
Moreover, traffic on Highway 138 eastbound was diverted onto Highway 18.
The CHP Antelope Valley Office is currently investigating the incident.
