Long Beach, CA (September 18, 2023) – One male motorist suffered fatal injuries in a Port of Long Beach crash on Highway 47 near Ocean Boulevard. According to Daily Breeze, the crash was reported around 3:10 a.m. on Monday.

An initial investigation indicated that the involved vehicle, a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer, was speeding southbound on Highway 47.
The car crossed the intersection at Ocean Boulevard, veered into an exit ramp for a shipping terminal, struck cement barriers, and subsequently flipped.
The police confirmed that no other vehicles were involved and no passengers were in the car.
Currently, high speed and impaired driving are suspected contributors to this collision.
