Redding, CA (June 10, 2022) – The California Highway Patrol identified Randall James Lewis (69) of Bella Vista as the fatality in a two-vehicle collision in North Redding. According to KRCR, the crash reportedly happened around 9:55 pm.
Randall James Lewis was driving in the wrong direction when he collided head-on with a 2014 Chevy Equinox.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), Randall James Lewis was headed southbound in the northbound lanes of I-5 when he collided head-on with a 2014 Chevy Equinox. Then, the 2014 Chevy Equinox crashed into a big rig in the adjacent lane.
Authorities mentioned that Lewis was not wearing a seatbelt when the collision happened. The emergency medical personnel declared Lewis dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the other driver was transported to Mercy Medical center due to major injuries.
