Richard Wilkin Killed in Fatal Head-On Crash Involving a Truck in Fresno County, CA
Fresno County, CA (June 8, 2022) – Authorities identified Richard Wilkin (71) as the fatality in the head-on crash near Selma on Tuesday. According to Your Central Valley, the crash was reported around 8:00 pm.
Richard Wilkin’s SUV ended up in front of the oncoming truck at the intersection. The two vehicles crashed head-on with each other.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver of the SUV, later identified as Richard Wilkin, was on the westbound Floral Avenue when it tried to make a left turn to the southbound Dewolf Avenue.
Then, Wilkin’s SUV ended up in front of the oncoming truck at the intersection. The two vehicles crashed head-on with each other.
The truck caught fire soon after. The unidentified driver and the passenger were taken to the hospital due to their life-threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, Wilkin suffered major injuries. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The authorities are still in the midst of the investigation.
