Los Angeles, CA (October 1, 2023) – One man sustained fatal injuries in a San Pedro car crash after his car plunged off a cliff into the ocean. According to the LA Times, police received calls around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday.

A fatal San Pedro car crash occurred on Saturday where a man drove his car off a cliff and into the ocean near South Meyler Street and West Paseo Del Mar by the rocky coastline of Wilder’s Addition Park.
Rescue divers from the Los Angeles Fire Department extracted the man from the overturned coupe, lodged amidst rocks in turbulent surf, said LAFD spokesperson Brian Humphrey.
Unfortunately, the unidentified man was declared dead at the scene.
Unsure that other passengers were in the car during the crash, the rescue team used searchlights and helicopter infrared to scan the shoreline. They found no one else.
At present, the Los Angeles Police Department is investigating this San Pedro car crash.
Meanwhile, the cause of the car careening over the cliff remains undetermined.
