One Person Fatal in Stanislaus County Crash
Stanislaus County, CA (July 26, 2023) – Stanislaus County crash left one person dead on Las Palmas Avenue, east of Sycamore Avenue. According to KCRA, the crash occurred around 6:05 p.m. on Wednesday.
One person suffered fatal injuries following a Stanislaus County crash.
One person lost their life in a crash on Las Palmas Avenue, east of Sycamore Avenue. The California Highway Patrol received a call about the collision involving a red Toyota pickup and a white Toyota Camry.
Based on the investigation, they determined that the Camry was traveling behind the pickup truck in the westbound direction on Las Palmas Avenue.
For reasons yet unknown, the pickup truck suddenly decelerated.
In an attempt to avoid the crash, the driver of the Camry veered but ended up hitting the back of the pickup truck.
Subsequently, the pickup truck also veered off the road, collided with a tree, and came to rest on a dirt shoulder.
Fortunately, the driver of the Camry did not sustain any injuries.
The CHP has indicated that neither drugs nor alcohol seem to have played a role in causing the crash.
The Stanislaus County Department of Roads closed Las Palmas Avenue for approximately two hours to investigate and clear the scene.
