Two-Vehicle Accident in Banning Left Thirteen Injured, Including One Victim With Major Injury
Banning, CA (June 4, 2022) – A Greyhound bus crashed on Interstate 10 in Banning, leaving thirteen people injured. According to KTAR News, the accident happened on Friday as the bus headed to Phoenix from Los Angeles on Interstate 10.
Thirteen people sustained injuries after a Greyhound bus blew a tire and crashed into an SUV and the center divider on Interstate 10 in Banning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the Greyhound bus veered after one of its tires blew up. Then, it crashed into a Mitsubishi SUV and the center divider. Thirty-three people rode the bus during the accident.
However, authorities transported thirteen people to the hospital after they sustained injuries from the accident, including two occupants of the Mitsubishi. One of them suffered a major injury described as a compound fracture. Meanwhile, the other twelve received treatments for minor injuries.
According to authorities, the bus traveled between 60 and 65 mph when its tire blew. They also transported uninjured passengers to the Morongo Indian reservation’s tribal hall.
