Laguna Beach, CA (February 6, 2023) – Willen Mari Alvarez (32) of Mission Viejo was identified as the fatality in a South Coast Highway crash involving multiple vehicles in Laguna Beach. According to LA Times, the crash was responded to around 6:00 pm on Sunday.

The Laguna Beach Police Department reported a fatal crash on South Coast Highway involving multiple vehicles and a pedestrian.
Emergency personnel performed life-saving measures on the victim at the scene. They later took her to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead by the medical staff.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department identified the victim as Willen Mari Alvarez of Mission Viejo.
According to authorities, Alvarez was attempting to cross South Coast Highway when multiple vehicles struck her in the southbound lanes.
In their initial investigation, three vehicles appeared to have struck Alvarez.
The drivers involved in the crash remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Right now, the cause of this tragic incident remains under investigation by the Laguna Beach Police Department’s traffic bureau.
