Pedestrian Succumbed to Fatal Injuries after San Jose Hit-and-Run Crash
San Jose, CA (July 7, 2023) – A San Jose hit-and-run crash left a female adult pedestrian with fatal injuries. According to KRON4, the crash occurred around 2:26 p.m. on Friday.

The San Jose Police Department said first responders were called to the area of a fatal hit-and-run crash in the area of Story Road and South White Road in San Jose, where a female pedestrian was fatally hit.
The victim, an unhoused woman pushing a shopping cart, suffered injuries from the crash.
Unfortunately, the pedestrian succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The authorities revealed that a vehicle struck her outside the crosswalk.
Tragically, after being hit by the suspect vehicle, the woman was struck by yet another vehicle. The second vehicle struck the victim while she was already on the ground.
The driver of the first vehicle, traveling southbound on White Road, is now wanted for a felony hit-and-run, according to the report.
Meanwhile, the other driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the police investigation.
Currently, the woman’s identity has not been released to the public.
According to the police, this incident marks the 23rd fatal collision and the 24th fatal traffic death of 2023.
